Shane dishes on his movie A Walk to Remember, love, and Mandy Moore.


Q: In the movie, your characters are soul mates- what are you looking for in your own soul mate? 

A: I just want sombody who is willing to have fun and do things like go on a road trip or just stay home and watch movies. I'm really attracted to offbeat people. A girl that is totally intriguing and not a Ford model type will get to me! 

Q: You and Mandy get married in the film. What was that like? 

A: It was very surreal! Mandy acted like a real bride and wouldn't let me see her in her gown until we started shooting the scene! So when she walked down the aisle, I was totally nervous- I didn't have to act. 

Q: Mandy's character has a list of things she absolutely has to do during her life. What's on your list? 

A: I definitely want to get married and have a family. I want to travel- I'd love to go to Australia. I'd like to go snowboarding. I was more the basketball, baseball, tennis-anything with balls-kinda guy. And I want my band, Average Jo, to put out an album. 

Q: So, you're a rock star, too. Tell us more about your band! 

A: Well, it's called Average Jo, and we're going to have a song in the driving scene of the movie. Wait- can you hold on? There's someone at my door and I'm not dressed!
